Hopewell Middle School, Home of the Mustangs! I am thrilled to begin my first full year at HMS after beginning in January, 2023. This will be my 9th year as a middle school counselor in Fulton County. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Middle Grades Education from Clark Atlanta University and earned my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling from Mercer University. I am the proud mother of two wonderful young adults, currently attending college in Georgia. Outside of Hopewell, I enjoy traveling, spending time with friends and family and taking walks with my dog, Chewbacca. I believe each student is unique and deserving of unconditional positive regard and a thriving learning environment. I truly enjoy promoting students’ educational, emotional, social, and physical growth. Let’s work together to support our amazing students!

Rachel LaGrone, School Social Worker
I am excited to be at Hopewell this year! I have worked with children for over ten years and middle schoolers are my favorite! I have a bachelors in Human Development and Family Studies and a Master in Social Work. I have worked with children and teenagers who struggle with mental health disorders as well as with their parents. I enjoy working with students to help them achieve their goals: whether academically, behaviorally, or a social emotional goal. I am happy to help families find resources to meet their needs. Outside of school, you will find me hanging out with my nephews, reading books, and exploring new coffee shops and restaurants.
