Please see below for AHS/CHS and Innovation information… Alpharetta HS Info: Greetings Future Alpharetta Raiders, We are excited to begin the process of your 8th grader transitioning to high school. The upcoming weeks are extremely important as our rising freshmen must carefully consider and select their high school courses for next year. Parents and students can view the courses recommended by the students’ 8th grade teachers for the 2024-2025 school year in the Campus Parent or Student portal:
In the portal, select “More” in the menu to the left.
Select “Next Year Course Request”
View Student Course Requests (ignore required under type)
If a parent does not have a portal account, then the parent can see the requests via the Student Portal. Parents can also email their student's 8th grade counselor for access.
If you would like to submit CHANGES to your student’s course requests and/or add electives, please complete the COURSE REQUEST VERIFICATION Form via the following link (click on link or copy & paste) or use the QR Code by Tuesday, February 16th: https://forms.office.com/r/a24HisyHHz
To help with this process, please review the AHS Course Catalog ( Course Catalog for School Year 2024-2025.docx) available on the school’s website for the large array of courses offered. We encourage students and parents to develop the appropriate, balanced schedule for next year, taking into consideration teacher recommendations, extra-curricular activities, jobs, community service, family obligations and rest. Most importantly, these considerations help students not only be successful but enjoy high school.
To be successful in high school, proper course placement is key! Students and parents may view informational videos on the AHS website under Curricular Events in the Academics section. These videos will provide insight into the course registration process for the 2024-2025 school year. Moreover, additional videos will be available for students and their parents to select and view presentations on Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), Dual Enrollment (DE) – College Options, English/Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, World Language, Career Technology/Career Pathways, Fine Arts, Performing Arts! Additionally, Alpharetta High School would like to invite students and their parents to Transition Night tonight, Tuesday, February 6th at 6:30 in the AHS Auditorium (Theatre). Don’t miss this great opportunity to help students and parents make informed choices!
